The game play is pretty simple and repetitive. Once found, you can leave it, take it for yourself, or secure it. The contraband is pretty obvious in these packages. You also have free time, in which you can do things such as work out to improve your stats, play dart games to win money, and etc. The activities range from searching through incoming goods mailed to prisoners for contraband, releasing and accepting new inmates, taking roll call, and etc. Through out the day, the game gives you one task at a time to complete. The game play loop is loosely based on a day cycle. If they don’t comply, you can give in to gain respect, beat them to lose respect, or convince them with words. Shown above is checking attendance where inmates must stand outside their cell and you use the clicker on them. You have one given task to complete at any time. Needless to say, a lot shenanigans ensue, both intentional and unintentional. The warden is absent and just hands all of his duties to you, literally only a day into starting your job there. Prison Simulator is a sim where you play as a prison guard in a rather questionable prison. Developed by Baked Games S.A., published by Baked Games S.A., PlayWay S.A.
